Product photography for ecommerce, food and restaurant photography

Food and restaurant photography can provide images for menus, listings and campaigns, alongside product photography for ecommerce. On-site shoots take place in Egypt, while editing can be arranged remotely where suitable.

Product photography for ecommerce and food photography scope

Online, the customer cannot touch the product. All they know is your image: does the leather look like leather, is the bag this size, is the colour what they saw? Dark, colour-cast or cluttered photos leave a buyer hesitant, so they close the page, or order and then return it because it “was not like the picture”.

And the ad image is what stops a thumb mid-scroll. A weak image means a more expensive click.

What we shoot

Products on white

The store's core images: a clear product, a light shadow, true colour, from the front, back, side and close up for detail. Salla, Zid, Shopify, Amazon and marketplaces ask for such shots at similar sizes. The OOYAA store is a live example: fifty-one products and two hundred and sixty-one variants, each colour with its own photo so the customer sees the colour they will buy. Read the story.

Lifestyle shots

The product in use: a bag on a hand, a perfume on a dressing table, a device in a kitchen. They give a sense of size and use, and work for ads, home pages and social.

Detail shots

Close to the stitching, material, texture, ingredients or engraving. These settle the decision of someone doubtful about quality.

Collections and catalogues

Shots that group products for offers and seasons, category images and catalogue covers.

Food and restaurants

Dishes, drinks and desserts for menus, delivery apps and social accounts. Lighting that brings out fresh colour, steam and texture, and plating arranged with your chef. Food changes shape fast, so we prepare the lighting and angle before the plate arrives.

Short product video

A 360-degree turn, an unboxing shot or a short reel. See corporate video for larger projects.

How a shoot runs

  1. A call. The number and kinds of products and where the images will appear.
  2. A written quote that sets the scope and timeline.
  3. A shot list. The required angles for each product, so we agree the output before shooting.
  4. The shoot, at your site or in your restaurant in Egypt, with controlled light, backdrops and reflectors.
  5. Selection and retouching. We choose the best frame per angle, correct colour and balance, remove blemishes and cut out backgrounds.
  6. Delivery. Neatly named files in the sizes and formats you need.

Shooting in Egypt and beyond

On-site shoots happen in Egypt. Projects abroad are arranged separately. Design and retouching after the shoot can be done remotely, so if you are in Saudi Arabia, Qatar or elsewhere you can send products or prepare the photos locally and we handle the editing.

How to prepare your product

  • Clean. Remove dust, fingerprints and loose threads. Everything shows in a close-up.
  • Press and arrange. Clothes ironed, bags stuffed with paper to keep their shape.
  • All variants. A sample of every colour and size you want shot.
  • Accessories and packaging. Any boxes or bags that go in the picture.
  • A spare sample for a product that may get damaged or needs a replacement.

Our article preparing your product for the shoot has a fuller list.

The files you receive

  • Store-ready images in the platform’s sizes, compressed so they do not slow the page.
  • High-quality images for print and ads.
  • Cut-out versions on transparent backgrounds where needed.
  • Clear file names for easy upload, and alt text we write in Arabic and English for search and accessibility.

Images, search and ads

Light, well-named images with alt text help your pages appear and keep the store fast. Well-shot product images lift the performance of Meta and Google shopping ads. See paid ads management and store conversion.

Then design

After the shoot we design store banners, social posts and offer ads from the images. See graphic design.

Packages and the written quote

We review what you need, then send a written quote that sets the scope, timeline and deliverables. The written quote fixes the scope and the timeline, and we start after you approve it. For Shopify we have a package that sets up the store in 2 to 3 weeks: see Shopify stores.

Frequently asked questions

It depends on the platform and product, usually three to six: front, side, detail and lifestyle. We set the number in the shot list before the session.

Yes in Egypt. We shoot at your place, set up for the product and the quantity. Projects outside Egypt are agreed separately.

Yes. We correct colour, cut out backgrounds and unify the size, and we tell you if your photos need reshooting to suit the ad.

We correct colour to match the real product and never change it. Changing colour misleads the customer and can raise returns.

It depends on the number of images and the retouching, and is written in the quote.
