Google Business Profile management
Google Business Profile optimization for local discovery
Google Business Profile optimization keeps company information, services, hours and categories accurate and organised. The agreed work may also cover photos, posts and responses to reviews.
Google Business Profile optimization: what the service covers
When someone searches “dentist near me” or “CCTV shop in Maadi”, Google shows three businesses on a map above the website results, each with stars, photos, a phone number and a directions button. A business without a completed profile is not there, even if its website is excellent.
Many profiles are incomplete: wrong hours, an old number, an imprecise category, no photos, and reviews nobody answers.
How Google decides who appears locally
Google names three factors in local ranking. Relevance is how well your profile’s description, categories and services match the search. Distance is how far you are from the searcher. Prominence is how well known your business is online, shaped by the number and quality of reviews, website links and mentions across the web. We cannot change distance, but we work on relevance and prominence.
What we do on your profile
Setup and verification
We create the profile or take over your existing one, and verify ownership by whichever method Google offers your business, such as phone, video or postcard. If the profile sits under a former employee's account, we move management to yours.
Name, categories and services
We choose the most accurate primary category and extra ones, and add services or products with clear descriptions. The business name is your real name as on the sign, with no keyword stuffing, which breaks Google's rules and can get a profile suspended.
Address and service area
Some businesses have a shop customers visit and some go to the customer's home or office. We set the address or service area within Google's policy and place the pin accurately.
Hours and contact
Regular hours and holiday hours, a phone number, a WhatsApp button where the profile supports it, and links to your website and booking page.
Photos and video
Storefront, interior, team, products and finished work. Good real photos raise clicks. We draw on product photography where needed.
Posts
Offers, news, events and short articles that appear on your profile. They keep it alive and give the customer a reason to call.
Questions and answers
We write answers to repeated questions before people ask them: parking, payment methods, whether booking is needed.
Reviews
We set up a way to ask your real customers for a review after service with a direct link, and reply to every review in a calm tone, especially the negative ones. We never buy reviews or write them under invented names, which breaks Google's policy and puts the profile at risk.
Measurement
The profile shows how many people saw it, how many called, direction requests, clicks to your site, and the searches they used. We tag your links with UTM parameters so GA4 measures the visits, and we report monthly. See reporting.
Mistakes we see on many profiles
- A business name stuffed with keywords, such as “Al Nour Center, best dentist in Cairo”, which puts the profile at risk of suspension.
- More than one profile for one business, so the two compete and the reviews split.
- An address that does not match the sign, or an old phone number that now rings someone else.
- Photos taken from the internet instead of real pictures of the place.
- Reviews with no reply, as if nobody reads them.
- Opening hours that never change for holidays, so the customer arrives at a closed door.
We start by cleaning these up because they are the quickest to fix and because Google looks for consistent information.
The profile and the website work together
A profile alone is not enough. It needs a website with a page for each service, your address, business name and number matching the profile exactly, and a clear contact page. The website side is covered in SEO services and company website design. Google Business Profile setup is part of every website we build.
For several branches we set up a profile for each, with its own address and page. As an example of real offices, we run two: New Cairo and Sheikh Zayed.
AI answers and local search
AI answer tools sometimes draw on local business data. An accurate profile with consistent details helps your information appear correctly. See AI answer visibility.
Project steps
- A call. Your business, its address, service area and what customers search for.
- A written quote that sets the scope and timeline.
- Review the current profile or create a new one, and verify it.
- Complete it. Categories, services, photos, questions.
- Activate. First posts and a review plan.
- Follow up. Replies, updates and a monthly report.
What we need from you
The verification method Google offers (phone or mail), your correct business details, recent real photos, and a list of your services and hours.
Packages and the written quote
We review what you need, then send a written quote that sets the scope, timeline and deliverables. The written quote fixes the scope and the timeline, and we start after you approve it.
Frequently asked questions
Nobody can promise that. Ranking depends on relevance, distance, prominence and the competitors in your area. We improve what we control and measure the change.
It depends on the method Google offers your business. It can be instant by video or phone, and take days by mail. We follow it with you.
We reply calmly with facts and offer a fix, because other customers read the reply. If a review breaks Google's policy we ask for its removal, and the decision is Google's.
Yes, if it serves customers in an area by visiting them, as long as it follows the service-area policy.
The profile works without one, but a site builds trust and ranking and gives customers more detail.
