motion graphics production

Motion graphics advertising video for products and services

Motion graphics advertising video uses animated scenes to explain a product, service or process. We agree the script, visual style, language and delivery formats before production.

Motion graphics advertising video: what the service covers

Some ideas cannot be filmed: accounting software that shows only a screen, a digital service, a process inside a plant that cannot be recorded, an abstract concept such as “linking two systems”. In those cases animation turns the vague into something visible. It is also the choice when you do not want people on camera, or when you want to edit later by changing a line or a figure with no reshoot.

For ideas that need faces, a place and a team, real filming suits better. See corporate video production. We often mix the two in one video.

What we produce

A service or product explainer

The script can explain the customer's problem, your service, how it works and what the viewer can do next. We agree the video length and format with you.

A software or system explainer

Screens that move to show the path: enter the order, it reaches the warehouse, the invoice issues. Useful for software firms and system providers. For the original screen design see UX/UI design.

The animated logo

A short movement of your logo at the start and end of videos and with presentations, so your mark becomes familiar.

Social and ad clips

Short animation of 6 to 15 seconds with on-screen text that catches attention in a scroll. We design it in several ratios: vertical, wide and square. See social media management.

Data and figures

Turning statistics or reports into animated charts understood quickly, for an annual presentation, a report or a conference.

Intros and transitions

Intros for a video series, covers, and transitions between scenes in an introduction film.

Elements for your decks

Animation placed inside a presentation to explain a step.

How we make a motion video

1. The script

This is where a video is decided. We write a short direct text: every sentence carries an idea and every scene explains a sentence. We read it aloud to hear if it sounds natural. The best videos do not cram in everything your company does, only one idea.

2. The storyboard

Rough drawings of each scene with the line and its length. You approve it before we start drawing, because changing a scene now is cheaper than after animation.

3. The visual style

Style frames in your identity: colours, fonts, and the look of characters or icons. Flat characters, line icons, 3D, or polished screen captures, depending on the subject, audience and intended use.

4. Drawing and animation

We draw the elements then animate them at a rhythm that matches the sound. Good animation is slow enough to be read and quick enough not to bore. That includes light transitions and effects.

5. Sound

A voice-over in Arabic or English with a delivery suited to your trade, licensed music for commercial use, and a few sound effects. For Arabic we choose a clear delivery pitched to your audience.

6. Subtitles and versions

On-screen subtitles, and an English version where needed. The English is written fresh, not translated word for word. We deliver versions in the sizes different platforms need.

7. Review and delivery

You watch a first cut with a guide voice, then we finish. After your approval we deliver the final file in high quality and compressed copies for platforms, and a version with no voice or text for future use if agreed.

Why this will not look like stock animation

Stock animation templates are cheap and fast, but they look to your customer like other companies. We design in your identity and with scenes from your own steps. We do not use stock images carrying other companies’ marks, and we check the licence of every element we use.

Working remotely

Motion graphics is done entirely remotely, so it makes no difference whether your company is in Cairo, Riyadh, Doha or London. We work through calls, files and preview links, and you send us your details, identity and examples. If you need filmed footage in Egypt alongside motion, read about corporate video.

Project steps

  1. A call. The idea, who will watch and where.
  2. A written quote that sets the scope and timeline.
  3. Script and storyboard that you approve.
  4. Visual style on two or three frames.
  5. Animation and sound and a first cut.
  6. Revision and delivery in platform formats.

What we need from you

Your identity, what you want explained in your own words even as notes, examples of videos you like, your steps or software screens if the video is about them, and the person who approves the script.

Packages and the written quote

We review what you need, then send a written quote that sets the scope, timeline and deliverables. The written quote fixes the scope and the timeline, and we start after you approve it. For the identity before the video, see brand identity design and graphic design.

Frequently asked questions

We write the script and agree the length before animation begins. The video can be prepared for a service page, an advert or a sales presentation.

A small change to a line or a figure is usually easy if the open files are kept. Changing scenes or the story redoes part of the work. The quote makes this clear.

Yes, with a delivery that suits each language. Two versions of the same video can be produced.

Yes, and we prepare it in sizes and lengths that suit each ad platform. See paid ads management.

The first is moving drawing that explains what is hard to film, the second is real filming of people and places. Each has its use, and we may combine them.

Explain a complex service clearly

Send what you want explained and who will watch, and we reply with a written quote that sets the scope and timeline.
